Description
Considered their “first-born” by the Tasca family, Regaleali Nero d'Avola portrays a truly classical representation of Sicily’s most widely native red varietal. This wine has been produced for the past 60+ years by the Tasca family and is always appreciated for its elegance, austerity, balance and versatility. This wine is a monovarietal blend of two different vineyard blocks: 50% young vine fruit is vinified using native yeast & aged in 5000-6000 HL Slovenian oak casks in order to micro-oxgenate the wine; 50% of old-vine fruit is vinified and aged in stainless steel in order to preserve the succulent flavors inherent to Nero d’Avola, including cherry, blackberry, plum, sweet spice, tobacco & licorice.
