Wonderful purity of fruit with blackberries and flowers, such as violets and orchids. Medium to full-bodied with very fine tannins that melt nicely into the wine. Very drinkable now, but a couple of years of bottle age will make it even better. Try after 2024.

2019
The 2019 Malbec Alta from Barrancas, Maipú was aged for 14 months in new French barrels. A dark, dense purple in color. The detailed aromatic profile features ripe plum, white pepper, blackberry and sour cherry liqueur alongside cedar, hazelnut and nutmeg aromas. In the mouth, it has good volume and body with firm tannins from the wood, intense flavor and a touch of juice. Time in the bottle will round out the tannins and deliver the velvety feel it’s currently crying out for. Drink in two years. Drinking window: 2021 - 2034
