Vietti continues to achieve year in and year out. The 2020 “Tre Vigne” Barbera continues that streak with a wine that begins with all bass notes. Deep and dark aromas of black cherry, roasted plums, candied violets and sweet spices. The wine is juicy and lush on the palate with gobs of blackberries and a touch of dried lavender and savory spice. The wine finishes with a brightness needed to keep the wine fresh.

Vietti Barbera d'Asti is the wine you open when you want classic Italian soul without waiting a decade for it to age. Crafted in Piedmont by one of Italy’s most famous winemaking families, it’s a bright, fruit-forward red that’s practically custom-built for food.
It pours a deep ruby violet and bursts out of the glass with juicy red cherry, ripe blackberry, and a gentle touch of dry spices. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied with lively, mouthwatering acidity and soft, easygoing tannins that make every sip feel clean and vibrant.
Because Barbera naturally packs high acidity and low tannins, it cuts through rich grease and melts right into bold, savory flavors without clashing. It is a absolute star alongside spicy Tacos al Pastor or Birria, where the wine's vibrant cherry notes slice right through the porky richness. That same bright finish makes it unbelievable with sticky, smoked pork ribs, gochujang-glazed Korean fried chicken, and rich duck or pork belly bao. If you're doing burger night, pour a glass alongside a mushroom truffle smash burger to let the wine's subtle earthiness match the charred beef and melted cheese.
