Terra d’Oro Amador County Zinfandel Red Wine displays the classic characteristics unique to this region. This California red wine showcases enticing aromas of clove, cracked pepper, black cherry and violets, along with licorice and sage. An elegant entry with red fruit and a juicy midpalate leads to a finish of spice and velvety tannins. The 2017 vintage of this Terra d'Oro Zinfandel earned 90 Points from Wine Enthusiast. This dry red wine pairs beautifully with eggplant parmesan or grilled lamb skewers with a blackberry reduction. Hand-selected grapes from the prestigious Amador vineyards comprise Terra d’Oro Zinfandel, the winery’s flagship wine. These vineyards feature shallow topsoils, granite hardpan, hot summer days and cool summer nights, creating a remarkable home for the winemaker’s favorite varietal. Aged in a combination of French and American oak, this red Zinfandel wine features subtle caramel notes with indications of exotic spice. This bottled wine has 14.5% alcohol by volume. Terra d’Oro is one of Amador County’s elite producers known for critically acclaimed Zinfandels, refreshing whites and classic Italian varietals.
