Tips & Suggestions: 1. 1 tablespoon corn starch = 2 tablespoons flour. Use in place of flour to thicken soups, gravies, sauces and stews. When substituting for flour in a recipe, use half as much corn starch to thicken. 2. To thicken hot liquids, combine equal amounts corn starch and water; slowly add to hot liquid until well blended. Bring to a boil for 1 minute; stirring constantly. 3. To make 1 cup cake flour, combine 3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour with 2 tablespoons corn starch.
