Where it Begins

The Tequila Rico Azul process begins with non-GMO Estate-grown agave, fertilized organically, and harvested at peak maturity. Cooked in 22-ton autoclaves for eight hours, the agave is then crushed, and the juice is fermented with brewer's yeast and a proprietary wine yeast from Bordeaux for 3-6 days.

Distilled Twice

Tequila Rico Azul is distilled twice using Alambic Armagnacais stills to preserve flavor. The tequila reaches 55% ABV and is diluted to 40% ABV with reverse osmosis water, then aged in used American white oak whiskey casks. Our Master Distiller ensures consistent flavor by carefully tasting and blending each batch.
